Celebrate Bastille Day at L’Apéro les Trois!

Since L’Apero les Trois draws its inspiration from the French style of food and drink, while giving it a California twist, it seems appropriate (and fun) to celebrate France’s Bastille Day here at L’Apero les Trois with a special French festival-style grillade and a celebratory drink.

Enjoy a barbecue of Lollipop Lamb chops and French Chipolatas pork sausages, served with a tomato, cucumber, and bell pepper salad, baguette and optional mustards.

Fête de Lavande at L’Apéro les Trois

Throughout the weekend, L’Apero will offer complimentary samples of their ‘Summer in Provence’, a Lavender-Lemon Spritzer, made with Meyer Lemon Aperitif, Berryessa Gap Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc, Perrier, and Lavender Syrup from Capay Lavender Farm. Full size drinks will be available for purchase, along with a plethora of artisan lavender products from the farm, including fresh lavender bunches in different sizes, lavender soap, culinary dried lavender, lavender syrup and more.

L’Apero les Trois will be selling special ‘Summer in Provence’ bottle bundles to make your own spritzer, as well as its eclectic line of vintage aperitif glasses and barware, tea towels, cook books and drink books, plus bottles by the batch, with recipes included.

Special Guest: Sherri Wood, Owner Capay Valley Lavender Farm 3:00 PM-5:30 PM answering questions about lavender, and telling stories about how she became a lavender farmer at 64 years old.

Free and open to all. Reservations suggested, but not required during the conversation with Sherri Wood.

Flesh and Frame

Nine women artists incorporate the human likeness into their work and investigate themes of identity, feminism, spirituality, body image, and the environment. Works encompass a variety of media from painting, collage, ceramics, mixed media and more.

Featured artists: Tamera Avery, Marsha Balian, Lynn Beldner, Christine Ferrouge, Betsy Kluga, TaVee McAllister Lee, Suzanne Long, Ruth Santee, Livia Stein.

Flesh and Frame: Human Figurative Art features selections from Transmission Gallery Oakland, and is curated in partnership with Transmission Gallery executive director Ruth Santee, and manager TaVee McAllister Lee, both artists with works in the show.

Flesh and Frame – Human Figurative Art continues at The Barn Gallery through June 10.

Regular open hours of The Barn Gallery are Wednesdays and Thursdays 2:30-5 p.m, select Saturdays (3/11, 3/25, 4/8, 4/22, 5/6, 5/13, 6/3, 6/10) and by appointment.

Near and Far: The World in Focus – Photography Exhibition

Gallery 625, in partnership with Photography Month Sacramento, presents the work of local and regional photographers, including Woodland Camera Forum members, in an exhibition that highlights unique and unexpected perspectives of people, places, and things from around the world. From monuments and landscapes, out of the way places, or local spots in our own backyard, these photos provide an insight into the attitude of the photographer and the captivating aspects of our world within the frame.
