Edged by vineyards, Winters is a popular spot for wine tasting. Its downtown core is home to two tasting rooms: Berryessa Gap, which pours estate-grown wines in a cozy space, and Turkovich Family Wines, which has a lovely outdoor patio. Nearby is L’Apero Les Tois, which produces small-batch, low-alcohol aperitifs made from Berryessa Gap wines.
But tasting isn’t limited to wine. Winters is also home to one of the only craft distilleries in the region: Patio 29 Spirits, which turns out whiskey, gin and vodka. Those who prefer beer will be right at home at Hooby’s Brewing or Berryessa Brewing Co.
