Capay Valley Lavender – U Pick Lavender

The serene Capay Valley awakens memories of rural California, with its patchwork of small towns and family farms.  In its midst, find Capay Valley Lavender, 28 acres of fresh organic lavender, herbs, figs, pomegranates, citrus and olives. U-pick lavender is available through June 30th, visit their website for more information. Capay Valley Lavender also offers farm tours, photo sessions and distillation workshops throughout the year. Capay Valley Lavender is located at 20470 County Rd. 79, Capay, Ca. 

 

Farm at Park Winters – Pick Your Own Bouquet

Wander through the flower fields and pick your own seasonal bouquet. The Farm at Park Winters is filled with colorful flowers—from cosmos and marigolds, zinnias, dahlias, poppies and dianthus, sweet peas, love in a mist, agrostemmas and snap dragons, blooming artichokes and cardoons, ranunculus to sunflowers and more!  Guests will have guidance on how to clip and gather. And if you would like, you can take time to arrange your bouquet before it’s wrapped. This experience is offered April through November on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are $35 and covers the cost for one bouquet. Farm at Park Winters – U-Pick Heirloom Tomatoes

For a limited time in July, Park Winters will be offering an Heirloom Tomato U-Pick experience at their farm. From the seeds of Tomatomania they bring you a variety of tasty heirloom tomatoes to pick and take home. Book this experience or upgrade your Pick Your Own Bouquet experience to include a Tomato U-Pick. Park Winters is located at 27850 County Rd. 26, Winters, Ca. 

 

Mezger Family Zinnia Patch – U-Pick Zinnia Flowers

Colorful zinnia’s are in bloom in Yolo County! Mezger Family Zinnia Patch is a free pick your own zinnia patch located at 11990 County Rd. 96, Woodland, Ca. The patch is open from sunup to sundown seven days a week. Please bring your own pruning shears and vases. Impossible Acres – U-Pick Fruit

Located just outside of Davis, the Impossible Acres Pickin’ Patch is open through July 30th to pick fresh blackberries, raspberries and peaches. Open Wednesday – Sunday 8Am-1PM. $3 per person entrance fee. Berries are $3.99 per pound and peaches $1.75 per pound. Check out their website for a map. Pacific Star Gardens – U-Pick Produce

Pacific Star Gardens, located at 20872 County Rd. 99, in Woodland, offers u-pick blackberries, strawberries, elderberries and more. Check their Facebook page often for what’s in season and to book an appointment.

 

Farmers Markets

Another excellent way to get fresh produce and support local farmers is by visiting one of our local farmers markets.

  • The Davis Farmers Market takes place in Davis Central Park every Saturday 8AM-1PM, Wednesday 4-8PM for Picnic in the Park (mid-May – mid-September), and Wednesday 3-6PM mid-September – mid-May.
  • The Winters Farmers Market in Downtown Winters, every Sunday 9Am-1PM June 11th – September 24th.
