Matchbook Winery

Matchbook Wine Company is a family-owned and operated winery with 1,600 beautiful acres of estate vineyards. They produce a unique family of wines that showcase the flavor and potential of the area.

The sights: Sink in and enjoy a picturesque patio with a spectacular vineyard view of the rolling Dunnigan Hills. Matchbook regularly hosts food trucks for snacking and music for relaxing while guests take in the view.

Great Bear Vineyards

Voted best winery 2020 by Sacramento Magazine, Great Bear tends to all of their vines by hand and implements sustainable farming practices. They handcraft small lots of award-winning, vegan wines with minimal intervention. The homestead, barn and gardens date back to 1860, giving the winery a true sense of place and history.

The sights: Nestled on the edge of Davis in Northern California, this beautiful vineyard hosts an abundance of wildflowers, bird and animal life.

Grindstone Winery

Home to four vineyards — The Ridge, Terroir, Chamisal Creek and Valley View — Grindstone has delivered wine perfection since 1997.

The sights: At Grindstone, the scenery is always free to those enjoying their wines. Patio tables are on a first-come, first-served basis and the park is the perfect place for picnicking and enjoying bottles.

Berryessa Gap Vineyards

Berryessa Gap’s roots go back to both Spanish and German farmers who first planted and farmed fruit. Today, the grapes are sourced from over 60 acres of rolling hills of coastal range.

The sights: Guests are invited to visit the tasting room on their vineyard property or in downtown Winters. Memorable, low key and picturesque, the production facility and tasting room on Highway 128 anchors the eastern gateway to the Napa Valley and beyond. There’s live music paired with great local wine, and the downtown room offers a casual daytime setting for wine tasting.

Turkovich Family Wines

Surrounded by rich agricultural land and soaked in the warm California sun, Turkovich Family Wines produces quality small-lot wines in Yolo County.

The sights: Vineyard visitors can expect to see expanses of golden rolling hills dotted with patches of green oak trees and vineyards all tucked in against the Vaca Mountains. Like Berryessa Gap, Turkovich also has a tasting room on their winery property and a tasting room in downtown Winters.

Taber Ranch

Taber Ranch touts 14 acres of vines including Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Verdot and Chardonnay. All of their grapes are all estate-grown, hand-harvested and custom crushed.

Old Sugar Mill

Fourteen tasting rooms. One beautiful location. Built in 1934 as an operating beet sugar refinery, the Old Sugar Mill now offers varietals from all over Northern California.
