On Saturday, September 12th, 2026, from 5:30-9:30pm, the Gibson House will become the backdrop for all things Italian under the lights from the old olive trees. Cena in Giardino de Gibson – “Dinner in the Garden” at the Gibson House is a must-attend new fall event that promises to be an unforgettable evening.
Cena in Giardino is an exciting collaboration of culinary artists from Woodland, Winters and Esparto that are incorporating Yolo County’s produce into your Italian favorites, paired with Italian wines and beer. Carboni’s Ristorante, Ludy’s BBQ, Lucy’s Café, and the Woodland Community College Culinary Program have come together to create six incredible courses featuring a progression of Aperitivo, Antipasti, Primi, Secondi, Contorno, and Dolce, all inspired by the regions of Italy. Along with the chefs, seasoned culinary students from four schools are sure to impress!
Yolo Arts will be showcasing their annual Ag Art Farm Gala exhibits in the Gibson House Barn. Cena guests will have an opportunity to register for the October 17th Annual Ag Art Gala auction and bid on artwork. For our history buffs, there’s tours of the 1877 Gibson House, exemplifying Georgian Revival, Neoclassical, and you guessed it – Italianate!
