Valentine’s in Yolo

Yolo County is the perfect place to celebrate romance this Valentine’s Day. Here’s a list of special events, live music, and performances to help plan the perfect weekend.


If you and your sweetie love chocolate, the Séka Hills Olive Mill and Tasting Room is hosting All Things Chocolate, a weekend-long event featuring delectable chocolate pairings, wine and olive oil tastings set at Séka Hills’ breathtaking Capay Valley estate. Saturday and Sunday, February 10th & 11th from {} to {} pm.

For more wine tasting variety, check out the Old Sugar Mill, which houses thirteen top-notch wineries at their converted sugar mill in Clarksburg. The Old Sugar Mill celebrates Valentine’s Weekend with the Port Wine & Chocolate Lover’s Weekend, where visitors can enjoy delicious port and chocolate pairings, barrel tastings, and live music and entertainment all weekend long. Saturday and Sunday, February 10th & 11th from 11 to 5 pm.

Bogle Vineyards & Winery will host their 20th Annual Port Weekend in celebration of Valentine’s Day, offering visitors the opportunity to taste award-wining port wine paired with luscious chocolates. Saturday and Sunday, February 10th & 11th from 11 to 5 pm.

Indulge your inner beer lover aboard the Beer Train, presented by the Sacramento RiverTrain. Designed to showcase the local craft beer scene, a standard ticket includes a 3-hour train ride, live music, and eight tasting selections from some of Northern California’s top breweries. Saturday, February 10th at 3 pm. Also check out the Valentine’s Train on Wednesday, February 14th at 6:30 p.m. for a romantic 2.5-hour train ride and a three-course dinner.

In the spirit of love, Park Winters is hosting a special Valentine’s Day Farm Dinner—a romantic, seven-course farm-to-fork meal complete with champagne and sunset views. Arrive early to tour the magical Park Winters gardens. Wednesday, February 14th at 6 pm.

With their traditional bluesy stylings and dynamic energy, Red’s Blues Band returns to Father Paddy’s Public House in Woodland for another electrifying performance. Friday, February 9th at 7:00 pm. Free admission. 

Texas-born singer-songwriter Radney Foster comes to the Palm’s Playhouse on Valentine’s Day weekend to perform songs from his latest project, For You To See The Stars. Friday, February 9th at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $20, or $16 with valid student ID.

Join Séka Hills for an afternoon of live music! Yolo-based songwriter Johnny Cruz will take the stage to perform his folksy-rock stylings, including many originals. Guests also receive 35% off mixed cases of Séka Hills olive oil, balsamic or wine! Saturday, February 10th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. No tickets required.

Drawing from strong influences like Simon & Garfunkel and Buffalo Springfield, Misner & Smith’s poetic songwriting and enchanting vocals evoke the spirit and emotion of modern American rock and folk music. Catch them live at Watermelon Music in Davis alongside folk singer Gwyneth Moreland. Saturday, February 10th at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $20 in advance or $22 at the door.

See local singer-songwriter Cynthia Renee cover a variety of genres from pop and 70’s and 80’s hits to modern and contemporary country at Miner’s Leap Winery’s charming Clarksburg property. Sunday, February 11th at 2:00 pm. Free admission.

The Woodland Opera House presents the Shakespearean classic “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” following the adventures of four young lovers and a group of amateur actors as they journey through an enchanted forest. Showtimes run throughout the month of February, including Saturday, February 10th at 7 pm, and Sunday, February 11th at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $25.00 / $15.00 for adults, $23.00 / $15.00 for seniors, and $12.00 / $7.00 for children.
