Beer_DrinkersWe’ve rounded up the top 7 must see festivals coming up in Yolo County. Yolo has unique and exciting events that you won’t find anywhere else! There is always something to do here; from craft beers to jazz music you wont want to miss these good times!         

  1. Downtown Woodland Beer Week || August 27th – September 3rd 

It’s beer o’clock from August 27th to September 3rd during Downtown Woodland Beer Week. This is a week full of a variety of events all highlighting…you guessed it: beer! Downtown Woodland will play host fun-filled events including Beer Movie Night, Homebrew Demos, Pooches and Pints, Beer Pairings/Releases, as well as Beer Specials all week at downtown restaurants! To conclude this lively beer week, “Hangover Brunches” are held on Sunday, September 3rd where you can indulge in bottomless mimosas or “beermosas.”

  1. Yolo Brewfest || September 2nd 

Yolo Brewfest, the signature event of Downtown Woodland Beer Week, will feature 35 plus breweries, cideries, meaderies, and wineries. The event also features local gourmet restaurants, a cigar lounge, live music and entertainment. General admission tickets include unlimited tastings from 2-6PM. This is an unforgettable event  you won’t want to miss! 

  1. Crawfish & Catfish Food & Music Festival || September 9th & 10th 

Experience a slice of Louisiana in Yolo County! Come hungry to eat Cajun, Creole, Southern BBQ, Asian Cajun Fusion and Soul Food. Music takes center stage with two stages of Cajun, Zydeco, Blues, R & B, Funk and Country Music. Other festival activities include cooking demos, dance lessons, crawfish races, a kids zone and more.   1. Hoes Down Harvest Festival || October 7th & 8th

The 30th Hoes Down Harvest Festival, held at Full Belly Farm, is a celebration to mark the end of the harvest season. Saturday, from 11am to 11pm, will feature everything imaginable from a petting zoo, large selection of organic foods, a wellness tent, silent auction, water roller coaster and so much more. Sunday morning offers yoga/singing/dancing and breakfast, followed by all day seminars. Tickets for the festival are available online or at the gate. 

  1. Davis Jazz & Beat Festival || October 14th 

The 10th annual Davis Jazz & Beat Festival, headlined by Bobby Bradford Quartet and The Year of the Trumpet, will take place in Downtown Davis. The jazz musicians will collaborate with painters and poets, creating a one of a kind experience for the audience. There will be over 200 artists performing in two live venues. This festival is a must-see and on top of that, it’s free! 

  1. Olive Crush Festival at Seka Hills || October 22nd 

Wine and sangria. Honey and olive oil tastings. Food trucks and local vendors. Mill tours and live music. Wow! You can experience it all at Seka Hills during the 2017 Olive Crush Festival. There are no reservations or tickets required, so bring the family out to enjoy this beautiful afternoon in the Capay Valley!

  1. Winters Salmon Festival || November 4th 

Celebrate all things salmon in Downtown Winters! The festival pays homage to the fall-run Chinook salmon as they return to Putah Creek to spawn. The festival features food, music, face painting, educational booths, parade of the salmon and more! Get more info on this unique festival here
